Star Frame Bowling Challenge Going National?

Discussions are on-going with nationally known products to sponsor the Star Frame Bowling Challenge in Cleveland as well as other cities throughout the Midwest. TV stations in Detroit, Chicago, Columbus, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis and many other cities have all been contacted about the possibility of airing the show in their markets.

The Star Frame Bowling Challenge will be played and televised from bowling centers in several cities throughout 2012 and they will be seen in many, many more TV markets. It is the only bowling game show in America and a lot of TV professionals have been commenting that something like this is long overdue. It's popularity might just make it as iconic as "Bowling for Dollars" was in the 1970's.

Keep coming back to StarFrameShow.com to get the latest news on where you can see the show in 2012 and what great companies will be bringing it to you.

New: Two Different Episodes Each Saturday!

As you may or may not know, The Star Frame Bowling Challenge Airs twice every Saturday on WUAB and WOIO. What is now different is that the episode you see at 4:30pm on WUAB My43 will be different from the one you see at Midnight on WOIO 19 Action News.

On March 19th the afternoon show was pre-empted by Cavaliers basketball so the new episode only aired at Midnight that Saturday. It did, however, re-air in the afternoon the following Saturday. That caused another situation and because we didn't want to have the same episode play at midnight on back to back Saturdays, a stagger was created. So from now on the episode that airs at Midnight will re-air the following Saturday in the afternoon. Every Saturday you can watch two different episodes of Cleveland's only locally produced TV games show.

NEW TAPINGS EXPECTED IN MAY - Plans are being made to set a taping date in May for episodes that will air in June. Check back frequently to learn more about the new sponsors and new show dates.

100 Year Old Contestant Featured in the Local Media.

Oakwood Village - On last week's show, Pearl Evelyn Ring of Beachwood celebrated her 100th Birthday while bowling as a contestant on the Star Frame Bowling Challenge. Being 100 years old and still throwing an 11 pound ball is quite an accomplishment. She was featured several times trhoughout the week by 19 Action News during there newscasts and even the Sun Press wrote about our decagenerian friend. (Click the link below)

 http://blog.cleveland.com/sunpress/2011/02/beachwood_woman_celebrates_100.html

She started off slow, as do many contestants who have to deal with the jitters of having all the lights and cameras in their face. She guttered the first ball but then came back strong and even picked up nine pins to get a "No Tap" strike in the fourth frame. Unfortunately her teammates let her down when a 72 year old "kid" left the 1-2-4 and ended the Star Frame bid.

After the show, show producer Paul Rado and Roseland owner Anna Marie Slaby refused to let Pearl finish without winning, they gave her $100 for putting up with Chuck Galeti and Marty Allen (lol)
